Yoga it’s all about Light
Spiritual practice is all about developing the awareness and capacity to shift awareness from darkness to light. Yoga is primarily an inner science of light as the practices of asana, pranayam and meditation are just different methods of igniting the higher light within.
To ignite this higher light and experience inner yoga we need to first cool down the mind. Our ordinary state of mind is overheated, over stimulated and over agitated. We react quickly to the polarities life offers. So how to cool off the mind?
Notice that the agitation is yours to be with and not someone else’s to be with…and commit to a practice to cool the mind such as alternate nostril breathing, or simply slowing down your breath to 4 breaths per minute. Try not to wait till you have time, do it right when you notice the agitation! |
