Happy New Year & Letting Go of “To-Do” Tyranny
We all know the drill: New Year, New You! Time for ambitious resolutions, elaborate goal-setting spreadsheets, and the inevitable feeling of overwhelm that follows.
For me, goal setting has always been a bit of a rollercoaster. On the one hand, I appreciate the clarity and direction it provides. On the other, I often find myself feeling stressed and restricted by rigid plans.
This year, I’m taking a different approach. Instead of focusing on specific outcomes, I’m prioritizing strong intentions. Think of it like this: intentions are the banks of a river, guiding the flow of water in a specific direction. The river itself – your life – is still free to meander and explore, but always within the boundaries of your chosen course.
My intention for this year is to manifest purest potential in my life and in the lives of those I connect with. It’s a broad, yet powerful intention that allows for flexibility and spontaneity while keeping me grounded in a sense of purpose. By cultivating the inner state of worthiness within, I am aligning myself to attract and experience the natural unfolding of purest potential.
This year, I’m choosing to let go of the tyranny of to-do lists and embrace the flow of life. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.
What are your intentions for this year? Looking forward to sharing stories on the mat this Saturday!
