The Concept of Hukam in Kundalini Yoga
Hukam: Aligning with Divine Order
In the practice of Kundalini Yoga, hukam serves as a profound guiding principle. Rooted in Sanskrit, hukam translates to “order” or “divine decree.” It embodies the idea that there is an underlying cosmic order or plan governing the universe. This order is not a rigid, predetermined fate, but rather a dynamic force that invites us to surrender our control and align with its flow.
The Practice of Surrender
By practicing Kundalini Yoga, we cultivate a sense of surrender to hukam. This surrender is not a passive resignation but an active choice to let go of our ego-driven desires and fears. When we surrender, we open ourselves to the possibility of experiencing the underlying harmony and interconnectedness of all things.
By understanding and embracing the concept of hukam, we can deepen our practice of Kundalini Yoga and experience the profound benefits of aligning with divine order.
