Sept 5 newsletter, Coping with Stress

Sat Nam
September is National Recovery Month and we are starting something new…
A write up from Shakti Qurban, to let you know what’s up

Pressure………..As our bodies and minds overload with too much information, cumulative effects of prolonged stresses from over work, global crises, and toxic levels in our food supplies and in the environment, broken homes and the growing income inequality across the globe.

Coping……..As we experience this tremendous pressure on the nervous system, many are reaching out for something, anything, to avoid discomfort and to temporarily escape from this pain. This coping can result in all kinds of addictions.

Amidst these challenges, the search for healthier coping mechanisms has led to the rise of alternative options such as CBD vape juice. Marketed as a potential remedy to alleviate stress and anxiety, cbd vape juice is being explored by individuals as a way to find a momentary reprieve from the overwhelming pressures of modern life. However, it’s crucial to approach such solutions with careful consideration, ensuring they are thoroughly researched and chosen in moderation, recognizing that the path to true well-being involves a holistic approach addressing both the external stressors and the internal resilience of individuals.

Dr. Gabor Mate describes this condition perfectly when he states that addicts are like “hungry ghosts”, starving for connection — to fill a gaping hole in their souls that no one but them can fill.

According to the Centers for Disease Control; drug overdose deaths rose nearly 20 percent in 2017, over 2016, fueled primarily by the abuse of opioids.

Trauma resolution is one of the important factors of alcohol addiction solution. Unresolved trauma is at the root of addiction, personal and collective. Increasingly addiction is showing up through food, social media, cell phone overuse, binge television watching, over-exercising, sexual perversions, pornography, excessive shopping, over indulgence with sugar and more. Do you recognize yourself in any of this?

Kundalini yoga is a technology that has many powerful and transformative benefits to supplement and enhance your recovery process, why not try these out to recover from addiction  as kundalini Yoga is the yoga of self-awareness, of coming home to your true self. It moves you from darkness to light. Some of the powerful benefits are:

• Managing stress through restoration of the nervous and glandular systems;

• Regulating emotions;

• Increasing willpower;

• Connecting the body and mind;

• Repatterning the brain; and

• Reconnecting to spirituality – to the infinite self – your soul.

“Although many drug users thought of Kundalini Yoga as another way to get ‘high,’ Kundalini Yoga is a way to become the higher self. It is getting out of pain, subconscious turmoil, and boredom. It gives you energy from within that cannot be given or created by any outside substance.”
