The Distraction of Becoming Ready

The Distraction of the “Next Thing”

There is a subtle pattern that shows up on the path—
the pull toward the next thing.

The next training.
The next insight.
The next method that will finally make you ready.

It can look spiritual, mental, even practical.
And it feels logical:

“I just need to learn a little more before I am ready.”

But often, it’s not preparation.
It’s postponement.

A refined distraction.

The Hidden Cost

Every time we reach for something new to complete us,
we step away from what is already here.

From the work that is ready to move through us.
From the offer that is already formed.

Destiny doesn’t unfold through accumulation.
It unfolds through expression.

And expression requires one thing:

presence with what is already alive.

Clarity Works Differently

We’ve been taught that clarity comes from learning more.

But in truth:

Clarity is not gained from learning more—
it comes from making a declaration.

A moment where you stop searching…
and choose.

From that decision,
the path reveals itself.

The Body Knows

The yogis and Daoists have always pointed to something simple:

Inflammation arises when we resist life.

When we believe:

  • this shouldn’t be happening

  • they shouldn’t be this way

  • I should be further along

The system tightens.
Energy stops moving.
Coherence is lost.

Not because something is wrong—
but because we are in conflict with what is.

The Truth is Not Elsewhere

There isn’t one truth for the divine
and another truth for human life.

Truth is what is in front of you.

This moment.
This body.
This experience.

When we stop resisting it,
something profound happens:

energy begins to move again.

Why Practice Matters

Yoga and meditation are not about becoming better.

They are about:

  • softening resistance

  • restoring flow

  • allowing reality to be as it is

And in that allowing…

The body reorganizes
The mind quiets
The next step becomes obvious

The Invitation

Notice where you are reaching for the next thing.

Pause.  Make a declaration.

And ask: What is already here that is ready to be expressed?

Join me for our next Kundalini Journey, a practice in stabilizing coherence and returning to what is already whole.
