Here’s what happened on my mothers day….
After my practice in the early morning hours, as the birds were making themselves abundantly well heard, I looked down and noticed a message had come in on my phone. When I opened it up it was from my cousin in Austin. She send me a link to Spotify with a shabad she had listened to all morning and she thought I would enjoy it as well.
This shabad happens to be my favorite one out of thousands of Sikh songs.
Because it’s the only one I know of, which mentions our first born son’s name, Guru Sangat. When he was 11 months, and I was 20 years old, he died. As I sat there listening to the shabad I realized that my spirit son had send me a mothers day message……
It’s been said that the veil of separation is thinner then the wing of a butterfly
Every breath I’ve taken since the day Gurusangat became my spirit son has been in the name of love. To experience in my bones that love and only love is real and enduring. That it’s this love which lights up the path within.
I know for sure that the practice of Purest Potential Kundalini yoga activates this force of love, I experience the miracles daily. (As I wrote this yesterday our children’s almost sister, from having been raised together when we lived in Espanola, Siri Atma Kaur, died in a car accident. Now struggling with the sadness, the impossible task of striving to understand, and trying to release all of that by trusting the great mystery which holds this all.)
